So today I was searching the internet for 360 virtual reality plugin that will allow me to intuitively immerse the audience in sound as they move around the room in VR. The reason for this is we are currently working on the sound design for virtual reality computer games. This is something that has to be done right and sound needs to accurately move with the visuals in front, behind and left to right of you, even above and below. A plugin that stood out instantly was Dear Reality dearVR Pro. The price was quite steep at $349 plus vat. But then I notice the pick pack and I see I can get this plugin along with another 9 plugins for $29 per month for 29 months. The best bit is after you pay your 29 lots of $29 you own the plugins. So in 2 years 5 months I will own the licenses of all 10 plugins. This isn't even the best bit. It works out over the course of 29 months paying $29 each month you only actually pay just over $800. I was just about to fork out $349 for 1 plugin when using the pick pack I can get 10 for the price of 2 basically. Once I checked out the shop I was told I had saved over $2000 on the RRP. What it essentially is is a leasing of the license until you have paid in full for the product. It's an excellent business model and buying the plugins this way you save so much money and what you do have to pay is spanned across 2 and a half years.
My only problem was I now had to now pick 10 plugins out of a list of 60-70 plugins. May sound simple but the issue is I already owned most of them on my plugin alliance account or my UAD account. The choice was made a little easier by the fact that there was a few great channel strips I loved the look of but never got round to picking up. The 10 plugins I ended up picking were.
