About Mixing & Mastering Service
Online mixing and mastering is a process that allows you the client, to experience high quality professional mixing & mastering from the comfort of your own studio. No matter where you live, online mixing & mastering has never been easier to outsource to a professional mixing & mastering engineer. A choice of 8 different mixing & mastering options are available to choose from, depending on your budget and the amount of stems / channels you require to be mixed.
All mixing projects are performed in the analogue domain within the Audio Animals mixing studio, where you will find a 36 channel Solid State Logic console. SSL consoles are world renowned for their ability to achieve a clean, clinically, spacious and precise mix. Each channel on the SSL console is patched into either a 4000 E Series EQ and compressor or a 9000 K Series EQ and compressor. Having the ability to include two different SSL console channel strips, means we can apply accurate EQ and compression of two different characters within one mix.
Once mixing is confirmed as complete by the client, we will print all variations of the mix including instrumental and acapella. All mixes will then be taken through to the mastering studio where mastering will commence. All mixes are mastered in the analogue domain, in exactly the same way our standard stereo mastering service is performed. Mastering is performed the next working day after the mix is confirmed as complete.
+ Mastered for iTunes (MFIT) and + Mastered for vinyl can be added to your order for each of the products you add to cart. For example if you have 4 tracks you require to be mastered with a standard turn around and all 4 tracks need to be mastered for iTunes. You will be required to add 4 standard masters to cart and an additional 4 + mastered for iTunes products. By doing so will mean all 4 of your tracks ordered for mastering include both 16 and 24bit wav masters, 320kbs mp3 master and a mastered for iTunes version.

Our 2 X-Racks house 2 different EQ and compressor styles, 2 SSL 4000 E-Series channel strips and 6 SSL 9000 K-Series channel strips. Audio is summed to the SSL X-Desk where over the master bus you will find a G-Series stereo bus compressor. Known throughout the industry as the glue, the G bus is used to glue the mix together.
Located in the centre of the mixing studio is a SSL Nucleus DAW controller. When working in Protools we are able to control each channel of the mix, including volume, pan, sends and plugin parameters at a touch of a button.
The Audio Animals mastering studio is equipped with only the very best mastering equipment available. Our mastering chain consists of various different eq's and compressors. All mixing and mastering projects are mastered using analogue equipment.
In both the mixing and mastering studios we use a pair of ATC SCM20ASL Mk2 Pro monitors. Using such sort after and highly detailed monitors means we never miss an error in the mix or the master.
Both our mixing and mastering studios have been custom built from the ground up to the exact specifications required to get the very best sound possible. These rooms are built on a floating floor.
