Today, the company operates from a state-of-the-art complex featuring three purpose-built studios dedicated to mixing and mastering, each designed to provide an accurate listening environment and equipped with a combination of high-end analogue equipment and modern digital technology.
Since its launch, Audio Animals has completed more than 50,000 orders for clients across the globe and has continued to grow year after year. By maintaining a strong focus on quality, reliability and professional service, the company has established itself as one of the industry’s most recognised and sought-after online mixing and mastering studios, working with independent artists, producers, record labels and established professionals across a wide range of genres.
Order Studio ServicesAudio Animals was officially founded on 9 October 2012 by cousins and engineers Paul Ashmore and Nick Burchall. After gaining experience across a range of studios and recognising a growing demand for professional audio services that were not limited by location, they set out to create one of the industry’s first 100% online mixing and mastering studios. What began as an ambitious idea quickly developed into a long-term vision: combining world-class engineering, exceptional equipment and an efficient online service that could be accessed by artists, producers and labels anywhere in the world.
The first six years were defined by an intense commitment to building the business from the ground up. Paul and Nick dedicated themselves to developing Audio Animals, continually investing in the studios, equipment and technology while establishing a reputation for quality, consistency and reliability. Today, Audio Animals operates two purpose-built studios, both centred around Solid State Logic Oracle consoles. Studio A, operated by Nick Burchall, is a state-of-the-art mastering studio designed specifically for critical listening and high-end mastering. Studio B is a fully digitally recallable mixing and mastering studio, combining cutting-edge digital control with an extensive analogue signal path. Its level of integration, automation and recall has made it known within the industry as one of the most technologically advanced and forward-thinking studio environments of its kind.
Throughout our growth, one principle has remained unchanged: professional mixing and mastering should be accessible to artists at every level. We pride ourselves on delivering the same care, attention and engineering standards whether we are working with an independent artist releasing their first record or an established international client. Keeping our services competitively priced is an important part of that philosophy. Independent artists and producers played an enormous role in building Audio Animals, and we never want success to distance us from the people who helped make the company what it is today.
More than a decade later, Audio Animals has grown far beyond what we originally imagined when the company was founded. Our focus now is not simply on becoming bigger, but on continuing to move the industry forward. We remain committed to investing in new technology, developing innovative studio workflows and continually improving the mixing and mastering experience we provide. As the way music is created continues to evolve, our aim is for Audio Animals to evolve with it, combining years of engineering experience with the technology and ideas that will shape the studios of the future.
