At first glance, some of the images almost look like photographs of rooms or architectural spaces rather than the interiors of musical instruments. Seeing these familiar instruments from such an unusual perspective completely changes the way you look at them.

The photographs taken from inside the cello and violin are particularly striking. The way the light passes through the F-holes and illuminates the wooden interior creates an incredible atmosphere, with an almost smoky, mist-like quality.

The artwork featured in this article was created by artist Adrian Borda, whose work explores familiar subjects from perspectives we rarely get the opportunity to see.
