Industrial Drums
Recorded on location in abandoned industrial spaces, Industrial Drums captures the raw sound of metal, machinery and discarded objects being struck, smashed and rattled with a range of mallets and hammers. From RSJ beams and shutter doors to gas canisters, gates, bottles and heavy metal surfaces, every sound has a damaged, aggressive character that feels naturally cinematic. The collection includes 816 unique hits across 17 banks, giving you a huge palette of industrial percussion, impacts and textures to work with. Use them as hard-hitting drums, layered cinematic impacts, rhythmic industrial filler, sound-design elements or unusual percussion within everyday music production. These are real-world sounds with weight, grit and character, ideal for film scoring, trailers, electronic music, rock, metal and any production that needs something darker, heavier and more destructive.

Multi Mic Recording On Location
To capture the true character of Industrial Drums, we travelled to 17 different locations, recording each space using high-quality microphones and professional location-recording equipment. Multiple microphones were positioned to capture both the direct impact of each object and the natural ambience and reflections of the surrounding space, while contact microphones were used to capture the vibration and resonance travelling through the surfaces themselves. This approach allowed us to preserve not only the initial strike, but also the weight, decay, texture and unique acoustic character of every location.

17 Unique Locations
We travelled to 17 unique locations across the United Kingdom, including abandoned air bases, warehouses, traveller sites and other unusual industrial spaces. Each location offered different materials, acoustics and resonances to capture. Once on site, we recorded anything we could strike with a hammer or mallet that produced an interesting sound. Metal doors, beams, gates, containers, machinery and discarded objects all became percussion instruments, creating a library filled with real-world weight, texture and atmosphere.
